Latvian Hawks Ice hockey team

Last Sunday June 14 Latvian Hawks club had Season ending celebration party. The party took place in Dundalk Ice Dome. First of all the Club wants to thank to all the Fans who supported all year long our Club and as well to all who participate in this celebration Party.

This Saturday 21/2/2009 19:15 Latvian Hawks will play against Paisley Pirates, in fight for double points, because Pirated decided to come to Dundalk one time, as well the game that hawks played in  Scotland was for double points. Latvian Hawks won that game with score 9:4 by winning this game Hawks will get the please in Play-offs. And the other games would be only to sort the places in Play-off table. Paisley Pirates is the rudest team in Celtic Cup and Scottish league, but the team in both leagues is located in the bottom of the table, but in spite of that the are not a very handy opponent for any team. But Latvian Hawks are completely ready for this game and will fight only for the win, To get first time in history in Celtic cup Play-off Games.

For this game back on Ice will be Thomas Burdys, Viktoras Vaiciulionis is still on question, but for Nikolaj Cervjakov the season seems to be over, after getting the shoulder injury. There are no injuries in forward players and as well goalies are ready for the game. In this game there will be three forward lines and two defence pairs. Team roaster for this game:

Attention to all: Because of LHF (Latvian hockey federation) serious financial problems accrued for Latvian Hawks team, witch requests from eight Hawks players a transfer payment in sum of 4000 Suisse Franks, which are 325 euro for each player. In the beginning of season all A – League players, which are not citizens of Ireland, needed to pay 150 euro each for IIHF (International Ice Hockey Federation), for transfer cards, for going from one country to other, which is obligated payment, but every countries Hockey federation have rights to ask for extra payment from their citizens and of course the only federation using these rights is LHF with Mr. Lipmans as a Director, basically this kind of sum is normally charged only from professionals, not from amateurs, which Ice Hockey in Ireland play just for fun, tried to convince LHF that this is only our Hobby in Ireland and that lots of  team members are currently without a Job and if they will not cancel their bill, the team will have to cancel their games, but the LHF seems not to be interested in that and are still avaiting the money. How you can see all these players are Hawks team stars and buttress, if we want to se Latvian Hawks in this year playing in good level and in the fight for winning in both leagues, which is completely possible, then the team and players ask please respond those people and companies, which in these harsh times could help financially to an individual sponsor a player, we are asking for 325 euro and we promise that the sponsor will be mentioned in every next game poster. In Latvian hawks webpage section Sponsors the player will thank in person to every sponsor and as a reward at the end of the season (7 June) the sponsor will receive game Jersey with all team player signatures and spend a full training with the team (on Ice). There is still a chance to sign up next one day trip to Scotland, the game will be against Solway Sharks and also there your support for the team will be appreciated. Departure on 1st March 7:30 AM from Dundalk Ice Dome and we will be back on 2nd March 3:00 AM, Game starts 5:30 PM, Trip Price: 70 Euro (In price included bus and ship there and back).
